Enjoy the Taino caves and the beautifull “Bacardi” island
We leave from the hotels at Samaná and Las Terrenas towards the harbor, where we board a speedboat which takes us to the most complete and most protected natural reserve in the country:
Los Haitises national park. Here you will get to see Taino caves, landscapes and little isles which you surely haven´t seen before in your entire life. Visit the river Cano Hondo, the La Arena Cave, the San Gabriel Cave, the La Linea Cave and the shark mouth.
Navigate through the mangroves and plenty of little isles where you will find the biggest amount of endemic
birds of the Dominican Republic.
This excursion combines los Haitises national park with a visit to Cayo Levantado, also known as the Bacardi isle. A true Caribbean paradise with turquoise waters and pearly white beaches. Here we´ll have lunch and open bar with local beverages.
The ideal place for a refreshing dip at the beach, or just relax.
Timing:
• 7:40 / 8:45: Pickup hotels Las Terrenas and Samaná
• 9:30: Arrival at the dock, from where we board the speedboat
• 10:00: Visit Río Caño Hondo and the caves. Navigation through the mangroves.
• 13:00 Arrival at Cayo Levantado, lunch and free time on the beach
• 16:30: Arrival at the Samaná dock
• 17:00 / 17:30: Arrival at hotels Las Terrenas and Samaná.
