Giving Back
At Bavaro Runners we give back to the community, after all, it is the friendliness and welcoming of the local people in these villages along our tours that give our customers the sense of a new experience and of seeing the real side of the Dominican Republic beyond the pristine hotels.
We donate to La Vacama, Vista Alegre, Las Guamas and El Salao rural public schools a dollar from every hat and t-shirt that you purchase. We use these monies to purchase much needed school repairs and supplies for these institutions who are in desperate need of any kind of aid.
Our tours take you along these places where you can see first hand the happy faces as a result of a little good will towards the people.
We also encourage you, if you’d like, to clean up your closet and bring down old clothes, school supplies and medicine for us to distribute. We can always find a good home for anything such as old clothes and shoes, educational items for the children like pens, pencils, crayons, paints, books, games and sports equipment.
